Each year, the Midwest Solar Expo connects clean energy leaders and enthusiasts for three days of critical education, hands-on training, impactful networking, efficient dealmaking, and innovation— tailored to the specific needs of the Midwest region.

Monday, June 9:

  • Registration is open from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
  • Hour-long NABCEP Training courses run from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
  • The Workforce Development Training workshop runs from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
  • Solar Simplified & Trajectory Energy Opening Reception runs from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. 

Tuesday, June 10:

  • Registration is open from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM.
  • Exhibit hall is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Educational sessions - keynotes and conference - run intermittently from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Renewable Energy Evolution Games and Exhibitor Happy Hour runs from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.
  • ISEA's Solar Drinks on the Roof takes place at Empire Burgers + Brew from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Additional registration is required.

Wednesday, June 11:

  • Registration is open from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
  • Exhibit hall is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Educational sessions - keynotes and conference - run intermittently from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Closing remarks run from 3:30 to 4:00 PM.

An attendee pass includes access to all 25+ educational sessions and 4 keynote presentations, as well as receptions, meals, and the exhibit hall.

Even better? Attendee passes also include these 4 NABCEP training courses:

  • 250kw-1 megawatt O&M Best Practices,” led by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP)
  • Energy Storage Fundamentals (PV 451),” offered by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA)
  • Solar PV Installation: Best Practices & Code Requirements,” offered by Illumination Solar Training Systems
  • Quality Management to Improve Solar Installations,” led by NABCEP

Course participants can earn 1 credit for each training!

The Midwest Solar Expo primarily draws US-based solar and clean energy professionals doing or seeking business in the Midwest.

The Midwest Solar Expo develops intentional networking experiences and dedicates time for attendees to establish new professional relationships. Key events include:

  1. Opening Reception: Sponsored by Solar Simplified and Trajectory Energy Partners, this June 9th event will welcome all MWSE participants from 6-7:30 PM at the hotel. Don't miss  your chance  to meet and mingle with exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and guests before the conference and exhibit hall open.
  2. Happy Hour and Renewable Energy Evolution Games: On June 10 from 5-6:30 PM, this happy hour invites attendees to linger for conversation over refreshments and fierce-but-friendly games of "pop-a-shot"—indoor basketball!
  3. Solar Drinks on the Roof, sponsored by the Illinois Solar Energy & Storage Association will feature an open bar, heavy appetizers, and perfect atmosphere to meet your peers and continue conversations from the day. Held at Empire Burgers & Brew, located across the street from the hotel, the event requires additional registration. Click here for details.
  • Until June 6, an attendee pass is $900.
  • From June 7 through June 11, an attendee pass is $950.
