Courtney leads SunPower’s policy and strategy for Midwest, Rockies, and Southwest states. Her work encompasses government and public relations, strategic business initiatives, and new market entry at the federal and state level.
Courtney has nearly twenty years of experience in clean energy. She’s worked extensively in the areas of state and federal energy policy, utility efficiency and renewable programs, and decarbonization initiatives. Prior to joining SunPower, Courtney worked directly with electric and gas utilities across the US and Canada as Director of Distributed Energy Resources & Electrification Strategy at E Source. Her experience also includes policy and project development with cities, counties, states, and federal agencies while at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. She’s also directly influenced and supported clean energy initiatives with state legislators while working with the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Courtney holds a Masters of Environment and Natural Resources Law and Policy from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and a BA in Environmental Studies and International Relations from Bowdoin College.
