Allegra Donadio is a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Subject Matter Expert servicing the Distributed Generation team at TotalEnergies. With extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, Allegra started her career in solar and has deepened it through a focus in BESS. She has participated in a range of roles in the industry at companies that cover scopes, such as grass roots advocacy and lobbying, product distribution services, software and technology as a service, and now at a leading global owner/operator.

At TotalEnergies Allegra leads the team’s initiatives around BESS strategy. In recent years this has led to an acute focus on PJM as community programs develop and behind the meter customer BESS value propositions grow hand-in-hand with rising electricity prices. She has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that customers face based on the interplay of growing load due to electrification of the grid, proliferation of data centers, and industrial buildout against market side dynamics such as skyrocketing capacity prices and resource generation retirements.
