To call Minnesota's 2025 legislative session atypical would be an understatement. From disqualified election results, to fights about quorum at the state Supreme court cases and a nearly one-month holdout in the House to start the session, it has been a hectic session! From the perspective of the solar industry, these challenges have manifested in policy attacks on programs both very new and very old, and opened new relationships and possibilities for future growth.

The Minnesota state briefing will go through all of these events through the solar lens. We will discuss these events on the ground at the Capitol as well their recent historical context - the development of the solar industry in Minnesota, the massive reforms and steps forward of the last couple years, and turn our eyes to future opportunities for solar in the state.
